From San Diego, take I-15 (north) to Hwy-52 (east). Hwy-52 will turn into Mission Gorge Road (east). Continue on Mission Gorge Road to Hwy-67 (north). Take Hwy-67 (north) to Vigilante Road (east). Turn right onto Vigilante Road and then left on Moreno Avenue (north) to Lake entrance.
From Temecula and Riverside Counties, take I-15 (south) to Poway Road (east). Take Poway Road to Hwy-67 (south). Take Hwy-67 (south) to Vigilante Road (east). Turn left onto Vigilante Road and then left on Moreno Avenue (north) to Lake entrance.
From Los Angeles and Orange Counties, take I-5 south to Hwy. 78 (east), take 78 (east) to I-15 (south), take I-15 (south) to Poway Road (east). Take Poway Road to Hwy-67 (south). Take Hwy-67 (south) to Vigilante Road (east). Turn left onto Vigilante Road and then left on Moreno Avenue (north) to Lake entrance.
Days of Operation
San Vicenteis now closed to all public access and recreation for construction on the San Diego County Water Authority's San Vicente Dam Raise Project. It is expected to be closed for 6-9 years and reopen between 2014 and 2017.
